Archduk :: Mediterranean Sea :: Nixe II

“The Archduke promised the crew that they would not be out of work, because he was going to buy another boat. He went to Fiume and Bakar (northern Croatia) to see the Hertha, a yacht that was for sale and in good condition. It was similar to the Nixe, and the price was 80,000 guldens, to be paid in instalments over eight years. On 20th November 1894, the Hertha was docked at La Foradada (northern Majorca). Ludwig Salvador decided to change its name. From that day forth, it was known as the Nixe II.”
