Conclusions on the economy

One of the most interesting points about this visit to Greece is having been able to see the impact of the current economic crisis. That impact has been relatively less on the Greek islands, though we did notice in Corinth how both shops and infrastructures have been significantly affected.

That notwithstanding, life goes on, and we saw that people still keep to their routines. People still go for walks, go to bars, etc. Perhaps where the change has been felt the most is internal consumption.

As for tourism, we noticed that the majority of tourists here are locals, also explaining the crisis’ broader impact with the fall of the inner market. At any rate, Delphos and the archeological sites of Corinth are an exception and cater to mass tourism, in this case, for tourists from abroad.
