Visiting the islets found in Parga’s bay is a must. What first calls our attention is the view of the city upon landing on the largest of the islets. On one of its hills is an old fortress built by the French and which still retains some vestiges reminding us of its origins.

From the French fortress we can also see the island with the Saint Spyridon Church and the hill with Ayos Atanasios Church on top located at the end of Parga’s second bay.

Lastly, we found another small church on the other side of the islet. From there we found another view of Ayos Athanasios. In a following entry, we’ll describe Parga from the sea as well as its coast to the north and south of the city.
