Conclusions on agriculture and fishing

Parga has changed a lot in terms of agriculture and fishing compared to the Archduke’s time. During the last 100 years, these primary activities have shifted to the service industry, in particular in the 1950s (concretely, as of 1953) when tourism began to change this city.

That notwithstanding, in the entire region belonging to Preveza, all types of vegetables are grown, and people still dedicate themselves to producing oil, fishing and ranching: pigs, chickens, lambs and cows. This would indicate that the increasing dedication to the service industry is less intense here than in other touristic areas in the Mediterranean.
