“Towards the exterior, El Mascarat ends in a small, narrow cape, surrounded by reefs shaped like teeth. From here, there is a very beautiful view over El Mascarat, La Señoreta and a corner of Columbrete Grande—covered by vegetation only at its highest point—and an extension of the black deposits that form the tops of La Señoreta and El Mascarat.
On either side of El Mascarat, it is possible to pass by in a rowboat only on calm days: either between La Señoreta and El Mascarat, or between El Mascarat and the tip of the main island. Both channels vary in depth, but are never deeper than six metres.
The view of the lighthouse over the rocks is beautiful and wild. The view towards the harbour entrance, with the floating buoy out in the middle of the water and the lighthouse rising up in the distance, is certainly beautiful.”
