“Sailing has hit rock bottom. The city only has one small steam towboat, three small sailboats and approximately 30 boats and monoxylas. The city’s port is also home to boats from Kalochori and Meganisi. Some boats are also registered in Vassiliki port.

Just as the Archduke noted, there is not a lot of activity with respect to the sailing / sea transport business.
However, we also see that they have built a large marina which is today the base for a lot of charter companies. All this leads to considerable activity, especially on the days when new tourists arrive to pick up their boats.
