“The passage between La Ferrera and El Bauzá is 20 metres wide, but it can only be used by small rowboats because it is obstructed by enormous rocks.
The passage between El Bauzá and Espinosa is even narrower and more difficult to navigate. Only the passages between El Valdés and La Ferrera (to the north) and between the islet El Navarrete and the Císcar and Hidalgo sandbanks (to the south) leave much room to manoeuvre, although they should not be used by larger boats, either.”

We retraced the steps in a small dingy and, though the depth of the water in some of these areas is considerable, it’s best to sail from a certain distance. As the Archduke indicated, you can sail confidently around Columbretes Islands except between Ferrera and Foradada and around Carallot.
